Welcome to the website for the Southern Illinois University Office of the General Counsel (OGC). The OGC serves as legal counsel for Southern Illinois University, inclusive of the SIU Board of Trustees, the President, Chancellors, and other administrators, faculty and staff. The substantive areas of OGC representation generally include: Labor and Employment, Contracting and Procurement, Health Care Administration, and Compliance and Medical Malpractice Defense, Faculty and Student Affairs, selected federal and state regulatory requirements, including the State Procurement Act, and the State Employees and Contractors Ethics Act.
